Service tracker Downdetector first registered a huge spike starting at 10:00 a.m. ET, with many customers saying on X and Threads that they’re having issues placing phone calls. There doesn’t appear to be an early culprit to the outage from this morning, but Verizon engineers are actively looking to the issue. Many of the affected customers say that they’re unable to make outbound phone calls — while others say they can’t make any calls due to their phone going into SOS mode. Phones usually e

Patriots vs. 49ers game today: Start time, TV, live stream, schedule for NFL Week 4 Mark Giannotto USA TODAY 0:00 2:09 The  New England Patriots  and  San Francisco 49ers  are both proud NFL franchises. They've won more Super Bowls than anybody else over the past five decades. But they entered the 2024 season seemingly on different trajectories, and that is where the best potential drama lies in  their Week 4 matchup . The 49ers, coming off another Super Bowl loss to the  Kansas City Chiefs , were still supposed to be the NFC favorite this year. The Patriots, after parting ways with Bill Belichick, had a rookie head coach (Jerod Mayo), a rookie quarterback ( Drake Maye ), and low expectations. San Francisco is dealing with injury issues on both sides of the ball, which helps explain consecutive road losses to the  Minnesota Vikings  and  Los Angeles Rams . Running back  Christian McCaffrey  was placed on injured reser

Roob's Observations: Eagles embarrass themselves in Tampa vs. Bucs By  Reuben Frank   •   Published 42 mins ago   •   Updated 15 mins ago   NBC Universal, Inc. Ron Jaworski and Reuben Frank share their instant analysis following the Eagles’ 33-16 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 4. I looked down at my laptop midway through the second quarter and the Bucs had 255 yards and the Eagles had 0 yards. You really don’t have to be much of a football expert to understand this is not good. In fact, it’s impossibly, unbelievably, astonishingly bad. The Eagles didn’t just lose a football game Sunday in Tampa 33-16, they embarrassed themselves. They were so thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the football it looked they hadn’t practiced or prepared all week. And if that score looks remotely competitive, it was 21-0 a few plays into the second quarter and it was already over. Yeah, the Eagles were missing a bunch of really good players, but that’s no excuse for the slop we saw out there Sunday
